Alarm View Setup window - General tab

You can use the Alarm View Setup window - General tab to set the types of events that can trigger an alarm notification.

 

 

 

The following table contains a description of each field on the Alarm View Setup window - General tab:

 

Field Name

Description

Display Events

 

Select which type of events you would like to appear in the Alarm window as they occur.

 

Price > limit

Displays a triggered alarm for the highlighted symbol when the price exceeds the limit specified. This limit is automatically set to +10% of the last trade price which was retrieved at the moment you entered that symbol.

 

Price < limit

Triggers an alarm when the price falls below the limit specified. This limit is automatically set to -10% of the last trade price which was retrieved at the moment you entered that symbol.

 

New High

Triggers an alarm when a new high is reached for the day.

 

New Low

Triggers an alarm when a new low is reached for the day.

 

Open > limit

Triggers an alarm when the opening price exceeds the limit specified.

 

Open < limit

Triggers an alarm when the opening price falls below the limit specified.

 

Total Volume > limit

Triggers an alarm if the total number of shares traded during one day exceeds the limit specified.

 

Trade Vol > limit

Triggers an alarm if the total number of shares for a single trade exceeds the limit specified.

 

Trade Count > limit

Triggers an alarm if the trade count exceeds the limit specified.

Display Symbols

Select which symbols you would like to display in the Alarm window. You must create an alarm in the Settings window - Alarms tab, for symbols to appear in this field.

All button

Click to select all display events or display symbols.

None button

Click to deselect all display events or display symbols.

Preview section
(lower half of window)

Use this section to preview your changes.

OK button

Click to use the selected settings and close the News Settings window.

Cancel button

Closes this window without updating the search results.
