Setting Alarms

You can setup alarms to notify you when a symbol meets certain criteria, such as when:

• The price is higher or lower than a set amount

• The symbol reaches a new high or low for the day

• The opening price is higher or lower than a set amount

• The trade volume is higher or lower than a set amount

To add an alarm, perform the following

1. From the  Main toolbar, select Tools>Settings. The Settings window appears.

2. From the Alarms tab, click the Add button to add a new alarm.
   TIP: You can also press Alt+A to add a new alarm.

3. In the Symbol field, type the symbol to use for the alarm

4. From the Criteria field, select the type of alarm you want to create

5. From the Limit Value field, type the limit price to use for the alarm

6. To play a sound when the alarm activates, click the Play Sound? check box so that a check mark appears

7. To automatically display the Alarm window, click the Bring up Alarm View? check box so that a check mark appears.

8. Click the OK button to close the window.
