Blotter pop-up menu

The Blotter pop-up menu appears when you right-click the Blotter window.

 

 

The Blotter pop-up menu contains the following menu items:

 

Field Name

Description

Blotter Positions Setup

Click to open the Blotter Setup window.

Hide Closed Positions

When selected, positions will disappear from the Blotter window once they become closed.

Close/Reduce

Click to close your position by 100, 75, 50 or 25 percent. Click here for more information on closing your position by a percentage amount.

Exercise

Click to exercise the options you are holding. Click here for more information on exercising options.

 

NOTE: This choice is only available when you are holding options.

Compute Unrealized Values Using

This option controls when P&L related field are updated.

 

  • Bid/Ask - P&L fields are updated using current bid and ask prices

  • Bid/Ask - Mark to Close - P&L fields are updated using the the last bid ask ask price before the market closed.

  • Last Trade - P&L fields are updated using the last trade price

  • Last Trade - Mark to Close - P&L fields are updated using the last trade price before the market closed.

 

Print Positions

Click to print a copy of the blotter.

Export to Excel

Click to export a copy of the blotter to a Microsoft Excel file

Show Details

Select to view the order status details for each transaction.

Click to exercise one or more of your available options.

Order Details Setup

Opens the Order Status setup window so you can set which orders are displayed in the Blotter window.

Hide Orders Terminated Without Fills

When selected, terminated orders that have not been filled are not displayed.

Print

Click to print a copy of each transaction for the currently selected symbol.

Export to Excel
(lower option)

Click to export a copy of each transaction for the currently selected symbol to a Microsoft Excel file.

Opens another blotter window with the current settings.

Set Window Look As Default

Click to set the current options as the default settings for the window.

Make All Windows Identical

Click to make all other open Blotter windows appear with the same display settings as this window.

Reset Window Look

Click to reset the window to the default view
