Changing Live Orders

You can use the Show Open Order function to quickly modify live orders. When the Show Open Order function is enabled on the Market Maker or Market Depth window, you can use the Order Load panel to  

 

NOTE: To modify live orders, make sure the Show Open Orders function is enabled and you can see the Order Modification panel. Top enable the Show Open Orders function, right-click the Market Maker or Market Depth window and click Show Open Orders.

 

When you modify an order, the existing order is cancelled and a new order is placed using the new price or quantity.

 

By default, four price buttons will display on the Order Load panel. You can add additional buttons to change the size and bid or ask price of the order (move to Ask, Bid, or Market). You can also customize the Open Order Adjustment panel by performing one or more of the following:

 

 

 

Perform the following to modify a LIVE order:

 

  1. From the Market Maker or Market Depth window, click your open order so that it is selected. Open orders usually appear in black or red.
    NOTE:
     To modify live orders, make sure the Show Open Orders function is enabled. To enable Show Open Orders, right-click the Market Maker and click Show Open Orders so that it is enabled.
     

  2. To adjust the price of an open order, perform the following in the Open Order Adjustment panel:

  3. To increment the price of an order, click next to the Adjust Price button amount you want to increment the order

  4. To decrease the price of an order, click the next to the Adjust Price button amount you want to decrease the order
     

  1. To adjust the size of an open order, perform the following in the Open Order Adjustment panel:

  2. To increment the size of an order, click next to the Adjust Size button

  3. To decrease the size of an order, click next to the Adjust Size button amount you want to decrease the order
     

  1. From the Open Order Adjustment panel, click the Move buttons to:

  2. To move the current order price to the current Ask price, click the To Ask button

  3. To move the current order price to the current Bid price, click the To Bid button

  4. To move the current order price to the current Market price, click the To Market button. The order should immediately execute.
    TIP:
    The To Market button is very useful when placing orders in a fluid market.
