Market Maker Setup window - General tab

You can use the Market Maker Setup window to set the display criteria for the Market Maker window. You can also create a list of Brokers you want highlighted in the Market Maker window. Click here for more information on creating a Brokers to Highlight list.

 

 

 

The following table contains a description of each field on the Market Data Ticker Editor window - Colors & Fonts tab:

 

Field Name

Description

Symbol field

Type the symbol of the stock you want to view.

Brokers to Highlight

Brokers listed in this section will appear highlighted in the Market Maker window when they appear. Click here for more information.

Show Market Makers check box

When checked, Market Maker trades will appear in the Market Maker window.

Show Consolidated ECN check box

When checked, Consolidated ECNs will appear in the Market Maker window.

Show Exchanges section

Exchanges that are checked appear in the Market Maker window.

Show ECN book

ECNs that are checked appear in the Market Maker window.

All button

Click to select all exchanges or ECN books.

None button

Click to de-select all exchanges or ECN books.

Show NYSE Open Book

Enable this option to view NYSE Open Book data.

 

NOTE:

The NYSE requires contractually that no other data can be displayed along with their Open Book data. When linking multiple Market Maker windows, the windows will change (due to a link event) only when the markets they are displaying are different.

 

For example, a market maker watching the NYSE Open Book will respond to other windows that do not display NYSE Open Book data.

NASDAQ TotalView provides the best view of the NASDAQ market. With TotalView, traders and investors get the full depth of NASDAQ market participant data available via the NASDAQ Workstation.

 

NASDAQ TotalView promotes price discover by providing full market depth for quoting participants in the NASDAQ Market Center. The NASDAQ TotalView data feeds features the following data elements:

  • All quotes and orders at every price level in the NASDAQ Market Center attributed to specific quoting participants. Firms providing market depth will be shown at multiple price levels.

  • Total anonymous interest at every price level in the NASDAQ Market Center

  • Total size of all quotes and orders and every price level in the NASDAQ Market Center

  • Critical data for the NASDAQ opening and closing cross processes, including the Net Order Imbalance information for NASDAQ cross-eligible securities

  • Issue directory messages and trading action messages for NASDAQ-listed issues

  • Quoting participant directory messages for those firms active in the NASDAQ market system

 

 

Sound Alert on Change

Sounds an audible alert for any price changes. This feature is useful for lower volume stocks.

Sound Alert on Trade

Sounds an audible alert when a trade is made. This feature is useful for lower volume stocks.

Popup Order Entry

Click to enable the Popup Order Entry window.

Preview section

 

Preview changes made in the Market Maker Setup window can be previewed in the lower half of the window.

OK button

 

Click to use the selected settings and close the Market Maker Setup window.

Cancel button

Closes this window without updating the search results.
