Enable Speed Keys

You can use speed keys to quickly display a function window or perform an action in Ultimate Trader. For example, you can set a speed key to open the Blotter window when you press F6.

NOTE: You can quickly enable Speed Key functionality by clicking from the Ultimate Trader main window, or from the Settings window.

 

Perform the following procedure to activate speed keys from the Settings window - Speed Keys tab:

 

  1. From the Ultimate Trader main window, select Tools>Settings. The Settings window appears.

  2. Click the Speed Keys tab

  3. Click the Speed Keys enabled check box so that a check mark appears


     

  4. Click the OK button to save the changes

 

NOTE: The Send Link Event speed key is designed to update the link group without retyping a symbol. For example, you can have multiple Level II windows and a single Chart window in the same group. You can click on either Level II window and click the Send Link Event speed key to automatically update the chart without retyping a symbol into the Level II window.
