Finding a Symbol

You can use the Find Symbol feature of Ultimate Trader to search for any security or exchange stock symbol you are unsure of. You can search for a symbol from any of the following windows:

• Charts

• Market Maker

• Market Depth

• Option Chain

• Market Minder

• Time and Sales

• Market Data Ticker

• News

Perform the following to find a symbol:

1. Use one of the following methods to open the Find Symbol window:
   

2. From one of the previously listed function windows, type a letter to open the Symbol window.

3. From Ultimate Trader main window, select Tools>Symbol Search
    

2. Click the icon. The Find Instrument window appears.
   
   
    

3. In the Find Symbol field, type the name of the company associated with the symbol you want to find. A list of stock symbols that match the search criteria appear.

4. Click the name of the symbol you want to use.

5. Click the OK button. The Find Symbol window disappears and information pertaining to the symbol is displayed.
