Market Minder Window Overview

 

The Market Minder window can be used to display current market data on selected symbols and serve as a top ten list of stocks in a particular category. You can choose from over 30 columns and display only the information that is important to you. Minder views can also be linked to Charts and Level II views for fast and easy analysis of dynamic market data.

Opening the Market Minder window

To view the Market Minder window, click the button from the main window.

 

 

 

 

The following table contains a description of each of the columns available on the Market Minder window:

 

Column Name

Description

Ask

The current ask price for a security.

Ask Date

The date when the ask was placed.

Ask Size

The number of shares offered by a broker or dealer at the ask price.

Ask Time

The time the ask was placed.

Bid

The current bid price for a security.

Bid Date

The date on which the bid was placed.

Bid Size

The number of shares offered at the bid price.

Bid Tick

Indicates whether the bid is an increase (uptick ) or decrease (downtick ) from the previous bid.

Bid Time

The time at which the bid was placed.

Bid/Ask

The bid and ask prices displayed in one column (bid x ask).

Bid/Ask Size

The bid and ask sizes displayed in one column (bid size x ask size).

Bid/Ask Spread

The difference between the bid and ask prices.

Chg. Last

Change from Last. The difference between the current price and the previous price.

Chg. Close

Change from Close. The difference between the current price and the closing price from the previous market day.

Chg. Close %

The percent change in price for a security from the closing price the previous market day.

Chg. Open

Change from Open. The difference between the current price and the opening price.

Chg. Open %

The percent change in price for a security from the opening price.

Chg. Over %

Percent of change when comparing the previous days close percentage to todays opening change percentage.

Company Name

Contains the name of the company associated with the symbol

Dir. Last

Indicates whether the current price is higher () or lower () than the price of the most recent trade of the security.

Expiration

The month and year an option expires.

High

The highest price at which a security has been traded during the current day.

High 52

The highest price at which a security has been traded during the past year (52 weeks).

Imbalance

This column indicates whether there is an imbalance of MOC (Market on Close) orders.

  • If the number is positive, this indicates there is an imbalance to the buy side. Under this condition, you can place a MOC sell order after the 3:40 (eastern) cutoff time.

  • If the number is negative, this indicates there is an imbalance to the sell side. Under this condition, you can place a MOC buy order after the 3:40 (eastern) cutoff time.

Last Price

The price of the most recent trade in a security.

Low

The lowest price at which a security has been traded during the current day.

Low 52

The lowest price at which a security has been traded during the past year (52 weeks).

No. Trades

Number of transactions involving buying a security from another entity.

Ordinal

A unique number assigned to each symbol and used to sort the list by the order the symbols were added.

Open

The price of a security when the current trading day opened.

Prev. Close

Last price of a security or commodity when the trading session ended.

Put/Call

Indicates whether an option is a put or a call.

Strike

The price at which an option holder can exercise the options.

Symbol

A series of letters that identifies a security.

Ticker

Indicates the current volume of the symbol

Tot. Volume

The total amount of shares exchanging hands.

Trade Date

The date on which a trade occurs.

Trade Size

Total number of shares traded.

Trade Time

The time at which a trade occurs.
