To execute options orders, use the AUTO button. Be sure the option symbol you enter in the Order Entry window is the correct symbol for the option contract you want, and that the symbol is preceded by a plus sign (+).
You can view price information on an option by typing its 5-letter symbol preceded by a plus sign (+) in a Level II view or Watch List.
Notes:
ADP/SIS is available from 9:30 AM EST to 4:02 PM EST for equity options, and 9:30 AM EST to 4:15 PM EST for index options.
At this time, we are only accepting option buy orders and sell orders that close an open position.
No spreads, straddles, combos, covered put writing, or naked writing are accepted.
Options do not trade in nickels above $3 orders, or dimes under $3 orders. Any orders placed at these prices will go live, but will be killed at the exchange, so please be careful.
Subject to prior approval, all covered calls must be phoned in.
